47 in. x 24 in. Polycarbonate Sheets

This is a single sheet of polycarbonate (PC) plastic, cut to a 47x24 in. rectangle.

  • Description
  • Polycarbonate is a terrific material to use when constructing robots. Bolt it to two separate components to add some rigidity or use it to cover an area to keep items out while being able to see inside.

This single sheet will be shipped with a protective covering on both sides of the plastic.

Polycarbonate was invented in 1963 by Dan Fox at General Electric. GE's trade name for this plastic is LEXAN, but it is also sold under other trade names (Makrolon, Hyzod, Cyrolon). This material is NOT Plexiglas or acrylic, as we don't suggest that you use that material on a mobile robot, since acrylic will easily shatter.
